Shraddha Srinath

Shraddha Srinath is an Indian actress and former lawyer who predominantly works in Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu cinema alongside Hindi and Malayalam films. Born on September 29, 1990, in Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir, into a Kannada-speaking family with an army background, she grew up across various parts of India and completed her schooling at Army School, Secunderabad. She graduated with a degree in law from the Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies and worked as a corporate real estate lawyer in Bengaluru while active in English theatre before transitioning full-time into acting. After making her screen debut with the Malayalam film *Kohinoor* (2015), she achieved a massive critical and commercial breakthrough with Pawan Kumar's acclaimed Kannada psychological mystery thriller *U Turn* (2016). Her performance as an investigative journalist earned widespread acclaim, winning her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Kannada and the SIIMA Award for Best Actress. She quickly established herself as a formidable talent across South Indian industries with landmark films such as *Urvi* (2017), the neo-noir action thriller *Vikram Vedha* (2017), and the comedy-drama *Operation Alamelamma* (2017), for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – South.
